    Chipper Operator Safety Workshop

Accidents involving brush chippers are a significant concern for tree care and landscape employers and tree care workers who operate the equipment. Strong anecdotal information from the field tells us that chipper operators receive little or no formal training on chipper operation and field maintenance.

The Arborist Safety Training Institute and the Tree Care Industry Association has implemented a Chipper Operator Specialist course designed to train tree care crews in hazards, as well as accepted practices for brush chipper operation and other associated tasks.  This course, which is built for crew members who often do not receive formal training opportunities, will increase involvement with self-policing.

ISA CEUs and TCIA CTSP credits available!!

This workshop is being funded in part by the Arborist Safety Training Institute.  Workshop sponsors include the Habersham County Cooperative Extension Service, Piedmont Arborist Consultant LLC, Georgia Arborist Association, Georgia Forestry Commission, Vermeer Tree Care and the Chestatee-Chattahoochee RC&D Council,
