    Aerial Rescue Techniques

    March 12, 7:30-4:30

Vermeer Southeast is hosting this course - designed to educate tree climbers and/or aerial lift operators in the most likely scenarios where they may have to respond to an emergency while working at height. This course focuses on the importance of Emergency Action Planning (EAP) and emergency preparedness protocols in a high angle environment. The importance of self-rescue strategies and methods to minimize risk exposure to co-workers is discussed and demonstrated. Systems designed to facilitate an efficient and practical rescue are described, demonstrated and practiced by participants.

Eligibility Recommendations: Experienced climbers who are familiar with current safety regulations, legislation and climbing techniques. Learners are given the opportunity to perform rescues during the course, so are encouraged to be proficient climbers before participating at this level.

NOTE: Safety has been and remains our number one priority, during this current health environment and beyond. North American Training Solutions (NATS) has been contracted to provide the training for this class. NATS believes in empowering individuals with the resources needed to safely perform their jobs so that at the end of the day, everyone returns home safely to their friends and family. This holds true for NATS clients, partners, and the NATS team members.

NATS understands that following federal, state, and regulatory agency guidelines could at times interfere with the health and safety of their trainers and the attendees related to technical training and application. NATS trusts that their trainers will make any necessary modifications, including stopping the training if necessary or requesting an attendee leave the training, to ensure their own personal safety, and the safety of their attendees at all times.

All participants should follow federal, state, and CDC requirements regarding but not limited to: face covering, hand washing, and social distancing.
