    Bio. Carlos A Rodriguez

    Carlos Rodriguez is a professional tree climber with Arboles Urbanos in Puerto Rico with more than 17 years of experience. A lead trainer with North American Training Solutions in the US for the last 6 years. Combining both branches of his career Carlos had helped thousands of tree workers across the US developing their professional’s skills and improving their safety at their practice. His mission is to help create the bridge connecting regulations, knowledge and the work force in Arboriculture.

    About this workshop:

    This workshop is designed to combine both classroom instruction and hands on activities in the following:

    EHAP - Electrical Hazards Awareness Program:

    Electricity is a serious and widespread hazard to our tree care workers and cause about 15% of all fatalities in the tree care industry making it the leading cause of worker fatalities.  Tree Care Workers must be trained to recognize electrical hazards and use special techniques to work safely near electrical conductors.

    Aerial Rescue:

    Aerial Rescue Training prepares climbers for the most likely scenarios where they may have to respond to an emergency while working at height.  This course is hands on with participants actively performing rescues using various techniques

    Required Gear List for the aerial rescue training:

    1. Helmet z89 class E

    2. Safety glasses z 87

    3. Climbing Harness

    4. Climbing rope

    5. Friction saver

    6. 5 Carabiners

    7. 1 safety lanyard

    8. Climbing system

    9. Climbing spikes

    - This is a list of the minimum equipment need for the aerial rescue. All equipment must be in good conditions and following manufactures specifications (not altered)
